Give 100 Hours

Join the Give 100 Team

Will you live to be 100?
Perhaps, but you can live to Give 100.

In harmony with the mission of the college and in the legacy of St. Marguerite d’Youville, you can give 100 hours of community service. This is an invitation to everyone at the college—students, faculty, staff and alumni—to celebrate D’Youville’s centennial year.

It is easy to Give 100: Register online or in person at Connections or Campus Ministry. Enrollment is for the entire centennial year and we will help you find sites for volunteer work. Opportunities are always available and for this celebratory year, we will be the primary workforce for a Habitat for Humanity home at 314 Vermont Street. You can always volunteer or continue to volunteer for community agencies of your own choosing and a special community service day, April 23, 2008, has been set apart as a day of service within our neighborhood.

If you are already registered to participate you can report your hours online for addition to the volunteer databank, located in the Campus Ministry office. You can report hours for individuals and for group activities. Verification of hours recorded will be sent to you by email.

In appreciation for your efforts, we will honor you at a luncheon and picnic, write articles about you, tell the entire City of Buffalo about your work and after you have completed your 100 hours and are an official member of the “Give 100* Team,” you will receive a special pin showing your membership on this team.
